Lynette is a Local Authority Governor and newly appointed chair of governers who began working as a Governor in September 2021. Lynette has 27 years of experience working in Primary Education – as both a teacher and latterly a Headteacher of two Church of England Schools. Having stepped back from full time work Lynette is looking forward to supporting the work of the Governing Board at Sutton in Craven C of E specialising in Safeguarding, Curriculum and teaching and learning

Business Interests:

Mark Jobling is a parent governor who joined in May 2022. He has a son who attends Sutton CE.

Mark works as a Financial Adviser so is well suited to supporting the school as part of its resources committee.

Mark is a firm believer that it’s important for children to have a good foundation in their understanding of Maths, and so is the schools governor linked to Maths.

Business Interests:

Caroline Kilvington is a co-opted Governor who previously joined as a parent Governor in July 2019. She has three children who previously attended Sutton CE. Caroline has a strong interest in supporting children with special education needs, and also in mental health for both children and adults and applies this to her role as SEN and Mental Health Governor. Previously Caroline has worked in banking and was an Account Manager for Nestle and uses the skills gained in these roles to support school with finances, as Chair of Resources committee.

Tracy Felgate is a staff governor, She has worked at Sutton CE school for 7 years and loved every minute of it.

She enjoys walking around the Yorkshire Dales, crafting and art when not at school.

Mrs Orla Gibbons has been Headteacher of Sutton CE since January 2020 but has been a primary school teacher since 2005. She began her career in Leeds and has been teaching in North Yorkshire schools since 2010. She has a passion for supporting all children but in particular, children with Special Educational Needs and achieved her MA in Special Educational Needs in 2007 and has worked as SENCo since 2006.

Wendy Hamilton is a Co-opted Governor who began working as a Governor in November 2022. Wendy has 25 years of experience working in Secondary Education as a History teacher, Head of Year, Head of Department/Faculty, Assistant Head and Headteacher in a variety of schools in the London Borough of Sutton, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. She has also worked for the local authority in Lincolnshire in their School Improvement Service and has previously been a governor at a primary school in Lincolnshire
