About Us

Please enjoy a Virtual Tour of our wonderful school.

Sutton in Craven C of E V.C. Primary School provides an education for children between the ages of four to eleven. It is a Voluntary Controlled School and as such is maintained by North Yorkshire County Council Education Authority. We are very proud of our school and our children. Our pride is matched only by our ambitions for the children and the school.

We strive for excellence; that’s why we never take for granted what a great school we have. We’re sure you will feel the same. We are a small and caring school with traditional values and we are passionate about learning. We are a Christian School serving the whole community.

Flourishing together, in the love of God, to live life in all its fullness.

We want Sutton-in-Craven C of E Primary School to be the first choice locally for your child.

We have a responsibility to nurture children with care, patience and understanding so that they flourish. With this approach we aim to produce independent thinking, confident and compassionate children. Being a small school, our dedicated staff know all the children well.

First and foremost children need to feel safe, secure and happy in school, if they are to be successful learners. We aim to provide the ideal environment in which children can succeed. This means year on year investment in our facilities and ensuring we stay abreast of developments in education and the wider world.
