Pupil - Parent Council

Each year our 'Pupil - Parent Council' hold a number of events to raise money for the school, from sponsored walks to cake stalls.

  • We have recently paid for the whole school to go to the Pantomime.
  • We funded a number of school trips
  • We paid the majority of the costs for the school library refurbishment.
  • We paid for new playground line markings
  • We paid for the year 6 leaver's gifts

We have a small but friendly group of people who meet once a half term on a Thursdays at 1.15pm

2016  - AN AMAZING YEAR FOR FUNDRAISING, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT

In 2015-16 you raised over £8000 for our school. This is nothing short of amazing. For a school our size this is a huge amount and shows how committed you are as parents to our school - thank you!

At our last Pupil-Parent Council meeting the children voted almost unanimously to spend the money you have raised this year on laptop computers rather than i-pads.  Steve from the Local Education Authority said lots of schools are now moving away from using i-pads due to their limited compatibility with software, printing off documents etc.

More importantly, the children said what was most important to them was to have enough computers so that when a class uses them, every single one of them gets their own, rather than sharing and using some the old, slower laptops we currently have. When I told the children in assembly, they seemed very excited about this. Again – thank you.
